Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress, dancer and singer. Her first Broadway roles, she played in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. Her first Tony Award was given to Ashford for her role as Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh has been collaborating on projects with award-winning directors, actors, and producers throughout her professional career. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail in Robert Siegel's exclusive Hulu series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford is currently working on the film for Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust which also features Sarah Paulson. It will also be available as an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford's Broadway return is scheduled to take place in the month of March 2023, when he is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at control of the show.
