Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to earn a 10. competing in the Olympics. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was only six years old. Her first competition was in the National Junior Championships which she finished 13th in 1969. In 1970, Comaneci took home the title. In her 1972 first international competition that was a preolympics junior competition that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975 she was crowned all-around Junior Champion. When she made her first senior competition in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champ winning four golds and a silver. She was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and was the first female ever to remove the parallel bars with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in the entertainment industry in her teens, when she performed as a figure skating duo with her twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol's professional career started in the entertainment industry as a teenager. She began her professional career by performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. These shows were ice skating events that included theatrical performances.
