Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actress and actor, is known for playing the lead in a variety of television programs as well as her impressive performances in films. Her work is a hit on Canadian as well as American television. When Emily was 12 she became attracted to acting when she visited her elder sister Katie on the set of one of her films. When she discovered that acting was a love, she began to learn how to act and attend auditions. She began with some commercials however, she was eventually selected as a child actress on the Canadian television horror show Are You Scared of Darkness? It was the only scene in which she did not speak. The first time she was seen on screen was at 15 years old after she was spotted on the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular.
